My brother-in-law sent me a surprise gift the other day... a copy of "The Architecture of Happiness" by Alain de Botton. I read the first two pages and immediately fell in love with his evocative style. I HIGHLY recommend this as a good read for anyone, especially those who love architecture.

This is fantastic... a map of red/blue counties over the last 12 presidential elections. I find the additon of a 3rd party color to be especially interesting. The temperatues stayed in the low 30's so things were perfect. Not too cold but just sticky enough to make things happen.
